Reminder to get your entries in for the Club Championships Doubles Competition 2016. Starts Mon 23rd Nov, closing date of entries Mon 16th Nov. Max 2 events per entry.

Junior Supervision in on each Sat 1pm-5pm.

This years Club Championship will have a different format. In November run a Men’s and Women’s Doubles Competition. In the Spring 2016 run a Singles and Mixed Double’s Competition. Starting Mon November 23rd Men’s and Women’s Doubles. Entries on board in Clubhouse or online. Closing date of entries Mon 16th November. Max of 2 events per entry.

Castleview recently were allocated €50,000 from the Sports Capital Grant Scheme 2015. We applied for €110,000 to cover the cost of refurbishing all 4 courts. The Committee will be presenting to the members early in New Year 2016 proposal on how to use this funding to refurbish all 4 tennis courts.

Congratulation to Zach Murphy who won the U12 Singles & Doubles in Naas Junior Open Graded 1 competition the previous weekend.

Castleview Tennis Club just held their annual Senior Open Week for 2015. Finals day was on Saturday 19th September. Great tennis was on show over the 2 weeks and the standard of the competition is going from strength to strength. We had our biggest entry and Castleview would like to thank all those players who took part. Castleview Committee would like to thank our sponsors Super Valu in Carrick-on-Suir who help us to run this annual event. Thanks to the committee for their hard work in organising the tournament, also thanks to all those who donated wonderful confectionary. It was a great 2 weeks of tennis and a lot of very entertaining matches. Friday Semi Finals Night was a great success with excellent tennis and fantastic Spanish Paella to feed the spectators and players. Well done to all the finalists who managed to get through some strong competition to make it to Finals Day.

Castleview hosted the boys U16 Munster Provincial Matchplay on Sat and Sun. Three out of the group qualified for the Nationals.
